Martyn lives in the seaside town of Bangor on the Irish Sea coast of County Down, Northern Ireland. His home is very close to the beautifully scenic district of the Ards Peninsula and Strangford Lough where he loves to capture landscapes just as he happens to see them, often when out motorcycling on his favourite roads in the area.
Martyn spent 35 years in professional photography in various fields including technical and commercial, events and PR. He spent a few years as Company Photographer for Harland & Wolff Shipbuilders in Belfast, builders of Titanic and Olympic. Here he also had the task of curating and preserving the company historical photo archive before becoming the University Photographer for Queen's University Belfast. He now enjoys the freedom of photography as a hobby, creating the images he loves.
